Our menus are thoughtfully curated to balance taste and nutrition, guided by the Healthy Plate concept. 

 

With no added MSG, preservatives or artificial colourings, we take familiar favourites and give them a more healthy twist - proving that nourishing food can still be indulgent and crave-worthy.

Shiok Makan is known for its spice-rich, Singapore-inspired creations. Our signature dishes include unique offerings like laksa dumplings and the Laksa Prawn Bento, alongside a wide range of nourishing bentos and comforting dumpling soups.

Beyond our café, we also bring the Shiok Makan experience into homes and offices through our frozen dumplings, house-made chilli sauces, and low-glycemic cookies, allowing customers to enjoy our flavours anytime, anywhere.

The Founder

Diamond Quek, founder of Shiok Makan, brings together data-driven precision and culinary creativity to redefine healthy eating. A graduate of the National University of Singapore in Statistics and Applied Probability with a triple science background, Diamond discovered her passion for food during a student exchange program in Germany, where recreating Singaporean dishes sparked her vision of bringing authentic Asian flavours to a wider audience. 

​

Her personal journey with weight management led her to pursue a nutrition certification, where she learned to balance health and taste without compromise. Drawing on her statistics background, she built a process-controlled nutritional database for every Shiok Makan dish, tracking macros from raw ingredients to plate. By applying the Healthy Plate concept and developing a sustainable, flavourful approach to eating, she transformed her lifestyle and achieved lasting wellness while enjoying the food she loves. ​

Shiok Makan was founded on this belief: that nutritious food can be bold, satisfying, and full of flavour. Every dish reflects Diamond's commitment to empowering people everywhere to eat well, live well, and savour the vibrant flavours of Singapore.
