The Founder
Diamond Quek, founder of Shiok Makan, brings together data-driven precision and culinary creativity to redefine healthy eating. A graduate of the National University of Singapore in Statistics and Applied Probability, Diamond discovered her passion for food during a student exchange program in Germany, where recreating Singaporean dishes sparked her vision of bringing authentic Asian flavours to a wider audience.

Her personal journey with weight management led her to pursue a nutrition certification, where she learned to balance heath and taste without compromise. By applying the Healthy Plate concept and developing a sustainable, flavourful approach to eating, she transformed her lifestyle - achieving lasting wellness while enjoying the food she loves. ​

Shiok Makan was founded on this belief: that nutritious food can be bold, satisfying, and full of flavour. Every dish reflects Diamond's commitment to empowering people everywhere to eat well, live well, and savour the vibrant flavours of Singapore.
